<div style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 36pt;">LED mempunyai banyak kegunaan dalam rangkaian elektronika yaitu sebagai lampu pilot atau indikator, sebagai alat penerangan, untuk keperluan remote control (LED infra red), dll. LED mempunyai lebih banyak keuntungan daripada lampu pijar beberapa diantaranya yaitu LED dapat bertahan hingga 20 tahun, dan ukurannya lebih kecil. Untuk menyalakan LED dibutuhkan tegangan sebesar 3 volt (normalitasnya), dengan arus 10-150mA. Tetapi biasanya arus yang diambil hanya 30mA untuk menyalakannya.<br />
